TL;DR
This paper proves the log-convexity of the rate region in 802.11e WLANs, extending previous results and enabling improved optimization methods for network analysis and design.
Contribution
It establishes the log-convexity property of the rate region in 802.11e WLANs, generalizing prior findings for Aloha networks.
Findings
Log-convexity of the rate region in 802.11e WLANs proven.
Implications for optimization-based network analysis.
Enhanced design approaches for wireless networks.
Abstract
In this paper we establish the log-convexity of the rate region in 802.11 WLANs. This generalises previous results for Aloha networks and has immediate implications for optimisation based approaches to the analysis and design of 802.11 wireless networks.
