Numerical updates of lifetimes and mixing parameters of B mesons
Alexander Lenz, Ulrich Nierste

TL;DR
This paper updates Standard-Model predictions for B meson mixing parameters, discusses potential new physics effects, and analyzes global data to evaluate deviations from the Standard Model in B meson systems.
Contribution
It provides the latest theoretical predictions for B meson mixing quantities and assesses the impact of new physics scenarios using global analysis with CKMfitter.
Findings
Standard-Model predictions for ΔM_s and ΔΓ_s are provided.
The Standard-Model point for new physics parameters is disfavored by 3.6σ.
The analysis highlights sensitivities of decay widths to new physics.
Abstract
We update the Standard-Model predictions for several quantities related to and mixing. The mass and width differences in the system read and , respectively. The CP asymmetries in flavour-specific decays are and . We further critically discuss the sensitivity of to new physics and the uncertainties in the relation between and the branching fraction of . Then we present a numerical update of the average width in the system and correlate with the - lifetime ratio. Finally we summarise the key results of our recent global analysis with…
