Semileptonic $B_s$ decay measurements at LHCb
Phillip Urquijo

TL;DR
This paper reports the first measurements of semileptonic $B_s$ decays at LHCb, observing new decay structures and providing branching fraction estimates, which enhance understanding of $B_s$ decay properties.
Contribution
It presents the first observation of the $D_{s2}^{*+}$ state in $B_s$ semileptonic decays and measures related branching fractions using LHCb data.
Findings
Observation of $D_{s2}^{*+}$ in $B_s$ decays.
Measured branching fractions for $D_{s1}^+$ and $D_{s2}^{*+}$ states.
First semileptonic $B_s$ decay measurements at LHCb.
Abstract
I discuss the first semileptonic decay measurements performed at LHCb, and the prospects for precise studies of semileptonic decay properties. The analyses covered here are based on data collected with the LHCb detector in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. In particular the semileptonic decays and are studied. Two structures are observed in the mass spectrum at masses consistent with the known and mesons. The measured branching fractions relative to the total semileptonic rate are , and . This is the first observation of the state in…
