On the exact solution of the mixed-spin Ising chain with axial and rhombic zero-field splitting parameters
M. Danco, J. Strecka

TL;DR
This paper provides an exact solution for the ground-state phase diagram of a mixed-spin Ising chain with axial and rhombic zero-field splitting, revealing how the rhombic parameter influences magnetic ordering.
Contribution
It offers an exact analytical calculation of the phase diagram for a mixed-spin Ising chain considering both axial and rhombic zero-field splitting parameters, highlighting the role of the rhombic parameter.
Findings
Rhombic zero-field splitting favors magnetic order.
Exact ground-state phase diagram obtained.
Rhombic parameter suppresses disordered phases.
Abstract
Ground-state phase diagram of the mixed spin- and spin- Ising chain with axial and rhombic zero-field splitting parameters is exactly calculated within the framework of the transfer-matrix method. It is shown that the rhombic zero-field splitting parameter prefers the magnetically ordered phase instead of the disordered phase.
