TL;DR
This report from the Tau subgroup of HFAG summarizes the current measurements of tau lepton properties, tests of lepton universality, estimates of |Vus|, and updates on searches for lepton flavor violation.
Contribution
It provides updated averages of tau lepton parameters and assesses lepton universality and flavor violation searches.
Findings
Updated tau mass and branching fractions
Tests of charged current lepton universality
Constraints on lepton flavor violating decays
Abstract
The aim of Tau subgroup of the HFAG is to provide average values of the mass and branching fractions of the tau lepton. Using the branching fractions, we present tests of charged current lepton universality and obtain estimates for |Vus|. We also summarize the status of searches for lepton flavor violating decays of the tau lepton.
