K. Urmossy, G. G. Barnafoldi, T. S. Biro

TL;DR
This paper explores a microcanonical generalisation of Tsallis statistics to describe charged hadron fragmentation functions in electron-positron collisions, achieving good agreement with experimental data across a range of energies.
Contribution
It introduces a novel microcanonical Tsallis distribution based on superstatistics and KNO scaling, extending the applicability of Tsallis statistics in high-energy physics.
Findings
Good fit to fragmentation data up to x≈1
Proposes a microcanonical generalisation of Tsallis distribution
Demonstrates scaling behavior in multiplicity distributions
Abstract
The scaling of charged hadron fragmentation functions to the Tsallis distribution for is presented for various collision energies. A possible microcanonical generalisation of the Tsallis distribution is proposed, which gives good agreement with measured data up to . The proposal is based on superstatistics and a like scaling of multiplicity distributions in experiments.
