Measurement of B0 to pi- l+ nu in untagged events and determination of |Vub| at Belle
Kevin Varvell (the Belle Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper measures the decay rate of B0 to pi- l+ nu in untagged events and uses it to determine the CKM matrix element |Vub|, providing insights into quark flavor mixing.
Contribution
It presents a new measurement of the B0 to pi- l+ nu decay and extracts |Vub| using two different methods, improving precision in CKM matrix element determination.
Findings
Branching fraction of B0 to pi- l+ nu decay measured.
|Vub| determined with two approaches, consistent with previous results.
Enhanced understanding of quark flavor mixing and CKM matrix.
Abstract
A study of the charmless semileptonic decay B0 to pi- l+ nu using a large sample of untagged Upsilon(4S) to B Bbar events collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric e+ e- collider is presented. The branching fraction of the decay is obtained and from this the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element |Vub| is determined using two different approaches.
