TL;DR
This study systematically analyzes the structural differences in PrFeAsO-based superconductors with oxygen deficiency and fluorine substitution, revealing that structural parameters significantly influence superconducting transition temperatures.
Contribution
It provides detailed structural insights into Pr1111 superconductors, highlighting the impact of FeAs layer parameters on $T_c$, and clarifies the role of structural differences in superconductivity.
Findings
$T_c$-$ ext{delta}$ curve differs between oxygen deficiency and fluorine substitution systems.
Structural parameters of FeAs layers vary despite similar $ ext{delta}$ values.
Structural differences may explain the variation in $T_c$ among these systems.
Abstract
We have performed structural analyses on iron-based superconductors, PrFeAsO and PrFeAsOF, systematically, by means of Rietveld method on neutron powder diffraction data. The shifts of iron ion valence from +2, , are accurately determined from the occupancies of O and OF sites obtained by the Rietveld analysis and F-concentration obtained by secondary ion-microprobe mass spectrometry. - curve of PrFeAsO is different from the curve of PrFeAsOF, indicating that is not a principal parameter for in so-called 1111 system. Structural parameters of the FeAs layers, for example, As-Fe-As bond angle and As-height from Fe layer, are different between both systems with similar -values. Their parent compounds are also found to have different structural parameters, possibly due to the…
