TL;DR
This paper introduces a new class of convolutional codes based on fibrations of algebraic varieties, expanding previous Goppa code constructions and providing examples of MDS convolutional codes.
Contribution
It generalizes convolutional Goppa codes through algebraic fibrations, enabling the construction of MDS convolutional codes with new algebraic methods.
Findings
Several examples of MDS convolutional codes are provided.
The new class extends previous Goppa code constructions.
The approach uses algebraic fibrations to define convolutional codes.
Abstract
We define a new class of Convolutional Codes in terms of fibrations of algebraic varieties generalizaing our previous constructions of Convolutional Goppa Codes. Using this general construction we can give several examples of Maximum Distance Separable (MDS) Convolutional Codes.
