Review of AdS/CFT Integrability, Chapter II.1: Classical AdS5xS5 string solutions
A.A. Tseytlin

TL;DR
This paper reviews classical string solutions in AdS5xS5, focusing on simple rigid closed strings described by integrable systems, and discusses related generalizations and open-string solutions.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of classical string solutions in AdS5xS5, emphasizing integrable models and their generalizations, which aids in understanding the AdS/CFT correspondence.
Findings
Classical solutions include circular and folded strings.
Solutions are described by integrable 1D Neumann systems.
Discusses generalizations and open-string configurations.
Abstract
We review basic examples of classical string solutions in AdS5xS5. We concentrate on simplest rigid closed string solutions of circular or folded type described by integrable 1-d Neumann system but mention also various generalizations and related open-string solutions.
