Skip Garibaldi, Victor Petrov, Nikita Semenov

TL;DR
This paper introduces new methods for computing Chow motives of twisted flag varieties and resolves a long-standing conjecture regarding the Rost invariant for groups of type E7.
Contribution
It develops two novel techniques for analyzing twisted flag varieties and proves a major conjecture about the Rost invariant in algebraic group theory.
Findings
New methods for Chow motive computation
Resolution of Rost invariant conjecture for E7 groups
Advancement in understanding algebraic group invariants
Abstract
