TL;DR
This paper conducts a model-independent analysis of top quark forward-backward asymmetry at the Tevatron using effective four-quark operators, deriving conditions for new physics consistent with observed data.
Contribution
It introduces a framework using dim-6 operators to analyze top quark asymmetry and proposes a new FB spin-spin correlation linked to the asymmetry.
Findings
Derived conditions on new physics consistent with Tevatron data.
Proposed a new FB spin-spin correlation related to the asymmetry.
Discussed possible new physics scenarios generating dim-6 operators.
Abstract
We perform a model independent analysis on using an effective lagrangian with dim-6 four-quark operators, and derive necessary conditions on new physics that are consistent with the production cross section %() and and the forward-backward (FB) asymmetry () measured at the Tevatron. We also propose a new FB spin-spin correlation that is strongly correlated with the , and discuss possible new physics scenarios that could generate such dim-6 operators.
