TL;DR
This paper investigates X-ray sources in the rho Ophiuchi star forming region, focusing on detecting Fe Kalpha emission and analyzing flare activity through time-resolved spectroscopy.
Contribution
It provides the first systematic search for Fe Kalpha emission in young stellar objects within DROXO, enhancing understanding of their high-energy processes.
Findings
Detection of Fe Kalpha emission in several sources
Identification of flare events through time-resolved analysis
Insights into the high-energy environment of young stellar objects
Abstract
We present a systematic search for Fe Kalpha emission from young stellar objects of the rho Ophiuchi star forming region observed in the Deep Rho Ophiuchi XMM-Newton Observation (DROXO).
