TL;DR
This paper introduces a new way to define the free Dirac field by explicitly constructing the Dirac sea using semi-infinite wedge products, showing its equivalence to the standard Fock space approach.
Contribution
It provides an alternative explicit construction of the Dirac sea using semi-infinite wedge products, linking it to the conventional Fock space formulation.
Findings
Constructs the Dirac sea explicitly using semi-infinite wedge products.
Shows the equivalence between the new construction and the standard Fock space.
Provides a rigorous mathematical framework for the Dirac sea concept.
Abstract
We give an alternate definition of the free Dirac field featuring an explicit construction of the Dirac sea. The treatment employs a semi-infinite wedge product of Hilbert spaces. We also show that the construction is equivalent to the standard Fock space construction.
