Measuring gamma in B -> K pi pi Decays
Maxime Imbeault, Nicolas Rey-Le Lorier, David London

TL;DR
This paper proposes a method to measure the weak phase gamma in B -> K pi pi decays by relating decay amplitudes to diagrams and exploiting diagram relations, achieving an estimated theoretical error of about 5%.
Contribution
It introduces a diagram-based approach to extract gamma from B -> K pi pi decays, extending previous methods and reducing theoretical uncertainties.
Findings
Relations between tree and electroweak-penguin diagrams are established.
Gamma can be extracted with an estimated 5% theoretical error.
The method generalizes previous approaches to B -> K pi decays.
Abstract
We re-examine the question of measuring the weak phase gamma in B -> K pi pi decays. To this end, we express all B -> K pi pi amplitudes in terms of diagrams. We show that, as in B -> K pi, there exist relations between certain tree and electroweak-penguin diagrams. The imposition of these relations allows the extraction of gamma from measurements of the B -> K pi pi observables. We estimate the theoretical error in this method to be O(5%).
