The Bel-Robinson tensor for topologically massive gravity
S. Deser, J. Franklin

TL;DR
This paper introduces a covariantly conserved super-stress tensor for topologically massive gravity (TMG) and discusses its limitations in quadratic curvature models, proposing a possible generalization.
Contribution
It constructs a new super-stress tensor for TMG and analyzes its applicability and limitations in related gravity models.
Findings
Super-stress tensor for TMG is covariantly conserved.
The tensor is invalid in quadratic curvature models.
A potential generalization is suggested.
Abstract
We construct, and establish the (covariant) conservation of, a 4-index "super-stress tensor" for TMG. Separately, we discuss its invalidity in quadratic curvature models and suggest a generalization.
