Zhan-Wei Liu, Yan-Rui Liu, Shi-Lin Zhu

TL;DR
This paper calculates S-wave scattering lengths between pseudoscalar mesons and decuplet baryons using heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory up to third order, providing predictions for future testing.
Contribution
It presents a systematic third-order calculation of scattering lengths within the small scale expansion scheme of heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory, which is a novel application.
Findings
Calculated scattering lengths for pseudoscalar meson and decuplet baryon interactions.
Provides predictions that can be tested in future experiments or lattice QCD.
Establishes a framework for analyzing meson-baryon scattering in chiral perturbation theory.
Abstract
We have systematically calculated the S-wave pseudoscalar meson and decuplet baryon scattering lengths to the third order in the small scale expansion scheme of the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. We hope the future study may test the framework and the present predictions.
