Rest Frame Subjet Algorithm With SISCone Jet For Fully Hadronic Decaying Higgs Search
Ji-Hun Kim

TL;DR
This paper introduces a rest frame subjet algorithm combined with SISCone jets to improve identification of highly boosted Higgs, W, and Z bosons in fully hadronic decays, enhancing signal discrimination at the LHC.
Contribution
It proposes a novel rest frame subjet algorithm and a jet shape observable, N-subjettiness, for better discrimination of boosted color singlet particles from QCD jets.
Findings
Achieved about 2 sigma statistical significance for Higgs signal at 14 TeV LHC with 30 fb^{-1}.
Demonstrated improved jet discrimination using the new algorithm and observables.
Validated the method on simulated dijet events from boosted bosons.
Abstract
The rest frame subjet algorithm is introduced to define the subjets for the SISCone jet. Using it, an IR and collinear safe jet shape observable N-subjettiness, , is defined to discriminate the fat jet from a highly boosted color singlet particle decaying to N partons and the QCD jet. Using rest frame subjets and on dijets from highly boosted bosons through , , we found that statistical significance of the signal is about at the LHC with at .
