Yukawaon Model with U(3)$\times$O(3) Family Symmetries
Yoshio Koide

TL;DR
This paper proposes a yukawaon model with U(3)×O(3) family symmetries to explain quark and lepton masses, allowing for a lower cutoff scale and providing a structured approach to neutrino mass matrices.
Contribution
It introduces a novel yukawaon model with combined U(3) and O(3) symmetries, enabling a reduced cutoff scale and specific mass matrix formulations.
Findings
Neutrino mass matrix expressed as M_ν = m_D M_R^{-1} m_D^T.
Charged lepton mass matrix given by M_e = k <Φ_e><Φ_e^T>.
Lowered cutoff scale in the yukawaon model due to symmetry choice.
Abstract
A quark and lepton mass matrix model with family symmetries U(3)O(3) is investigated on the basis of the so-called yukawaon model. In the present model, quarks and leptons are assigned to of U(3) and of O(3). Then, the neutrino mass matrix is given by with , where the charged lepton mass matrix is given by . A merit in considering U(3)O(3) lies in that we can lower the cutoff scale in the yukawaon model.
