A Light Scalar in Low-Scale Technicolor
Antonio Delgado, Kenneth Lane, Adam Martin

TL;DR
This paper explores the properties and potential discovery channels of a light scalar particle, $\sigma_T$, in low-scale technicolor models, highlighting its similarities to a heavy Higgs boson and its detectability at the LHC.
Contribution
It introduces the $\sigma_T$ scalar in low-scale technicolor and analyzes its production and decay modes relevant for LHC detection.
Findings
$\sigma_T$ is a narrow isoscalar scalar in 200-700 GeV range.
It behaves like a heavy Higgs with a small vev.
Potential for discovery via weak boson fusion at the LHC.
Abstract
In addition to the narrow spin-one resonances , and occurring in low-scale technicolor, there will be relatively narrow scalars in the mass range 200 to 600--700 GeV. We study the lightest isoscalar state, . In several important respects it is like a heavy Higgs boson with a small vev. It may be discovered with high luminosity at the LHC where it is produced via weak boson fusion and likely has substantial and decay modes.
