Yuichiro Nakai, Yutaka Ookouchi

TL;DR
This paper investigates the relationship between gaugino masses and the vacuum landscape in supersymmetric models, presenting a calculable example with non-zero gaugino masses at leading order.
Contribution
It extends the understanding of gaugino mass generation by exploring the vacuum structure in more general models, including a specific example with non-vanishing leading order gaugino masses.
Findings
Gaugino masses can be non-zero at leading order in certain vacua.
The vacuum landscape influences the gaugino mass properties.
A concrete model demonstrating non-vanishing gaugino masses at leading order.
Abstract
In direct gauge mediation, gaugino masses often vanish at the leading order of supersymmetry breaking. Recently, this phenomenon is understood in connection with the global structure of vacua in O'Raifeartaigh-type models. In this note, we further explore a connection between gaugino masses and the landscape of vacua in more general situations, focusing on a few examples which demonstrate our idea. In particular, we present a calculable model with non-vanishing leading order gaugino masses on the lowest energy vacuum.
