Paul Iachkine, Sophie Barr\'e, Kostia Roncin (LMF), Jean-Michel Kobus, (LMF)

TL;DR
This paper introduces an experimental measurement system designed to evaluate sailing performance through sensors tracking boat position, attitude, and wind conditions, aiding coaches in performance analysis.
Contribution
It develops a comprehensive measurement setup and analysis tools specifically for assessing sailing performance, which is a novel application in this context.
Findings
Effective sensors for boat position and attitude measurement
Wind measurement tools integrated into the system
Enhanced performance evaluation capabilities for sailing
Abstract
This paper presents the experimental set-up and the analysis tools developed for the performance evaluation in sailing. The measurement system is composed of sensors for the position and attitude of the sail boat, sensors for the wind measurement and some tools for the coach.
