Scattering and bound states by localized potentials
A.S. de Castro

TL;DR
This paper introduces a unified formalism for analyzing quantum scattering and bound states in symmetric, localized potentials, demonstrated through square barrier and well examples.
Contribution
It presents a simple, unified approach to study quantum scattering and bound states in symmetric localized potentials.
Findings
Effective formalism for symmetric potentials
Application to square barrier and well potentials
Unified treatment of scattering and bound states
Abstract
A simple formalism for exploring quantum scattering and possible bound states in an arbitrary symmetric and localized potential in a unified way is presented. The symmetric square barrier and well potentials are used for illustrating the method.
