TL;DR
This paper introduces a microscopic scattering method to explore the excitation spectrum of a Bose-Einstein condensate, revealing universal Ericson fluctuations in the scattering cross section linked to classical field dynamics.
Contribution
It presents a novel scattering approach to probe BEC excitations and uncovers universal fluctuation phenomena in the scattering process.
Findings
Scattering cross section shows universal Ericson fluctuations.
Fluctuation properties are connected to classical field equations.
Method provides new insights into BEC excitation spectra.
Abstract
We devise a microscopic scattering approach to probe the excitation spectrum of a Bose-Einstein condensate. We show that the experimentally accessible scattering cross section exhibits universal Ericson fluctuations, with characteristic properties rooted in the underlying classical field equations.
