D mesons in isospin asymmetric strange hadronic matter
Arvind Kumar, Amruta Mishra

TL;DR
This paper investigates how D and anti-D mesons' properties change in dense, strange, isospin asymmetric hadronic matter using an extended chiral SU(3) model, with implications for future high-density experiments.
Contribution
It introduces a generalized chiral SU(4) model to study D mesons in strange, asymmetric matter, revealing their medium modifications and sensitivity to isospin asymmetry and strangeness.
Findings
D mesons are more sensitive to isospin asymmetry at high densities.
Strangeness enhances the medium modifications of D and anti-D mesons.
D mesons show larger in-medium modifications compared to anti-D mesons.
Abstract
We study the in-medium properties of and mesons in isospin asymmetric hyperonic matter arising due to their interactions with the light hadrons. The interactions of and mesons with these light hadrons are derived by generalizing the chiral SU(3) model used for the study of hyperonic matter to SU(4). The nucleons, the scalar isoscalar meson, and the scalar-isovector meson, as modified in the strange hadronic matter, modify the masses of and mesons. It is found that as compared to the mesons, the meson properties are more sensitive to the isospin asymmetry at high densities. The effects of strangeness in the medium on the properties of and mesons are studied in the present investigation. The mesons (,) are found to undergo larger medium modifications as compared to mesons ($\bar…
