Nodoka Yamanaka, Toru Sato, Takahiro Kubota

TL;DR
This paper calculates the one-loop R-parity violating MSSM contribution to the $^{199}$Hg atomic EDM, revealing new coupling effects and constraining them with recent experimental limits.
Contribution
It provides the first one-loop analysis of RPV contributions to atomic EDMs, highlighting different coupling effects from tree-level studies.
Findings
RPV contributions to $^{199}$Hg EDM are constrained by recent experimental limits.
New couplings in RPV MSSM affect atomic EDM at one-loop level.
Constraints on RPV couplings improve understanding of CP violation in supersymmetry.
Abstract
The contribution in the R-parity violating (RPV) Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) to the electric dipole moment (EDM) of Hg at the one-loop level is evaluated. At the one-loop level, the Hg EDM receives RPV contribution whose couplings are of a different type from the tree level analysis. This contribution is shown to be constrained by using the limit to the CP-odd electron-nucleon (e-N) interaction given by the recent result of Hg EDM experiment.
