TL;DR
The paper discusses the design, testing, and implementation of the NA62 RICH detector aimed at pion-muon separation and trigger contribution, based on test beam results from CERN.
Contribution
It presents the design parameters and test beam results of the NA62 RICH detector, demonstrating its effectiveness for particle separation and trigger functions.
Findings
Successful test beam results at CERN
Effective pion-muon separation capability
Integration into the first level trigger system
Abstract
The RICH detector of the NA62 experiment is proposed for pion - muon separation and to contribute to the first level of the trigger. The design parameters of the detector and the results of test beams performed at CERN in 2007 and 2009 with a prototype are presented.
