Eta Carinae long-term variability
A. Damineli, M. Teodoro, M. Corcoran, J. H. Groh

TL;DR
This study analyzes long-term optical spectral variations of Eta Carinae, concluding that the primary star's physical parameters remained stable over 15 years despite spectral changes.
Contribution
It provides new insights into the stability of Eta Carinae's primary star over a decade and a half through spectral analysis.
Findings
Hydrogen line profiles show no significant change in the primary star's parameters.
Long-term spectral variations do not indicate physical parameter changes.
The star's fundamental properties have remained stable over 15 years.
Abstract
We present preliminary results of our analysis on the long-term variations observed in the optical spectrum of the LBV star Eta Carinae. Based on the hydrogen line profiles, we conclude that the physical parameters of the primary star did not change in the last 15 years.
