TL;DR
This paper introduces a new positivity property for Wightman functions, analogous to reflection positivity in Euclidean quantum field theory, using wedge reflections that alter time and spatial coordinates.
Contribution
It establishes a novel wedge reflection positivity property for Wightman functions, expanding the understanding of positivity in quantum field theory.
Findings
Wightman functions exhibit a positivity property under wedge reflections.
Wedge reflections involve changing signs of time and one spatial coordinate.
This property parallels Euclidean reflection positivity in a Minkowski setting.
Abstract
We show there is a positivity property for Wightman functions which is analogous to the reflection positivity for the euclidean ones. The role of euclidean time reflections is played here by the wedge reflections, which change the sign of the time and one of the spatial coordinates.
