Th. Rivinius, R.E. Mennickent, Z. Ko{\l}aczkowski

TL;DR
This paper investigates the variable star BI108 in the Large Magellanic Cloud, focusing on its resonant periods and exploring potential mechanisms behind its dual-period variability and resonant locking.
Contribution
It introduces the analysis of a B1II+B1II binary star with unique resonant period behavior and discusses possible physical mechanisms for the second period.
Findings
Identification of two resonant periods in BI108
Discussion of potential mechanisms for the second period
Analysis of resonant locking in the binary system
Abstract
BI108 is a luminous variable star in the Large Magellanic Cloud classified B1II. The variability consists of two resonant periods (3:2), of which only one is orbital, however. We discuss possible mechanisms responsible for the second period and its resonant locking.
