TL;DR
This paper computes kaon and D meson masses using N_f=2+1+1 twisted mass lattice QCD, addressing challenges from explicit heavy flavor and parity breaking at finite lattice spacing, and verifies three methods for consistency.
Contribution
It introduces and compares three methods for calculating meson masses in twisted mass lattice QCD with heavy flavor and parity breaking effects.
Findings
Methods are consistent in computing meson masses.
Addresses explicit heavy flavor and parity breaking effects.
Provides a framework for future lattice QCD studies.
Abstract
We discuss the computation of the kaon and D meson masses in the N_f = 2+1+1 twisted mass lattice QCD setup, where explicit heavy flavor and parity breaking occurs at finite lattice spacing. We present three methods suitable in this context and verify their consistency.
