Recurrent flux emergence from dynamo-generated fields
J\"orn Warnecke, Axel Brandenburg

TL;DR
This paper studies how large-scale magnetic fields generated by dynamo processes emerge through turbulent regions, forming twisted structures and recurrent plasmoid ejections, revealing key dynamics of magnetic flux emergence.
Contribution
It demonstrates the emergence of twisted magnetic structures and plasmoid ejections from dynamo-generated fields driven by helical turbulence.
Findings
Twisted arcade-like magnetic structures emerge above turbulence zones.
Recurrent plasmoid ejections are observed in the magnetic field evolution.
Large-scale magnetic flux emergence is linked to dynamo processes.
Abstract
We investigate the emergence of a large-scale magnetic field. This field is dynamo-generated by turbulence driven with a helical forcing function. Twisted arcade-like field structures are found to emerge in the exterior above the turbulence zone. Time series of the magnetic field structure show recurrent plasmoid ejections.
