TL;DR
This paper reports a search for CP violation in B^+ -> J/psi K^+ decays, measuring the charge asymmetry to test the Standard Model's predictions of CP violation effects.
Contribution
It provides the first precise measurement of CP asymmetry in B^+ -> J/psi K^+ decays with improved statistical and systematic uncertainties.
Findings
Measured CP asymmetry: -0.76% with uncertainties
Results consistent with Standard Model predictions
Sets constraints on new physics models
Abstract
We present the result of a search for charge asymmetry in B^+ -> J/psi K^+ decays. The CP-violating charge asymmetry is measured to be A_CP(B^+ -> J/psi K^+) = [-0.76 +/- 0.50 (stat) +/- 0.22 (syst)]%.
