TL;DR
This paper reports the observation of a resonance-like feature in the AC susceptibility of a Nb-AlOx-Nb Josephson junction array, attributed to geometric inductive effects, supported by a single-plaquette model fitting.
Contribution
It demonstrates the manifestation of geometric resonance in Josephson junction arrays and models it using a single-plaquette approximation.
Findings
Resonance-like structure observed in AC susceptibility.
Resonance related to geometric (inductive) properties.
Single-plaquette model successfully fits the data.
Abstract
A pronounced resonance-like structure has been observed in the current dependence of AC susceptibility for two-dimensional array of unshunted Nb-AlOx-Nb Josephson junctions. Using a single-plaquette approximation, we were able to successfully fit our data assuming that resonance structure is related to the geometric (inductive) properties of the array.
