TL;DR
This paper reports a search for CP violation in B+ decays to J/psi K+, measuring the charge asymmetry to test the Standard Model's predictions about matter-antimatter differences.
Contribution
The study provides the first precise measurement of CP asymmetry in B+ -> J/psi K+ decays, with results consistent with no CP violation.
Findings
Measured A_CP = -0.76% with uncertainties
Results consistent with Standard Model predictions
Improved precision over previous measurements
Abstract
We present the result of a search for charge asymmetry in B^+ -> J/psi K^+ decays. The CP-violating charge asymmetry is measured to be A_CP(B^+ -> J/psi K^+) = [-0.76 +/- 0.50 (stat) +/- 0.22 (syst)]%.
