Abstract
Let be a unital separable nuclear --algebra which belongs to the bootstrap category and be a separable stable --algebra. In this paper, we consider the group consisting of the unitary equivalence classes of unital extensions . The relation between and is established. Using this relation, we show the half--exactness of and the (UCT) for . Furthermore, under certain conditions, we obtain the half--exactness and Bott periodicity of .
