Jun Shi, Jian-Ping Dai, Bing-Song Zou

TL;DR
This paper investigates the role of t-channel $N^*(1535)$ exchange in the $par p o \phi\phi$ reaction, revealing significant contributions above 2.25 GeV and implications for OZI rule violations in $\phi$ production.
Contribution
It introduces the t-channel $N^*(1535)$ exchange as a significant mechanism in $\phi$ production from $par p$ annihilation, highlighting its potential to explain OZI rule violations.
Findings
Significant contribution of $N^*(1535)$ exchange above 2.25 GeV
Potential explanation for OZI rule evasion in $\phi$ production
Highlights importance of strangeness content in $N^*(1535)$
Abstract
Since the resonance was found to have large coupling to the strangeness due to its possible large component, we investigate the possible contribution of the t-channel exchange for the reaction. Our calculation indicates that the new mechanism gives very significant contribution for the energies above 2.25 GeV and may be an important source for evading the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka rule in the production from annihilation.
