S. G. Chigarev, E. M. Epshtein, Yu. V. Gulyaev, P. E. Zilberman

TL;DR
This paper presents a numerical simulation demonstrating the potential for switching magnetic junctions using combined current pulses and magnetic fields, even below threshold levels, with controllable timing.
Contribution
It introduces a novel simulation approach showing controllable switching of magnetic junctions with sub-threshold current and magnetic field inputs.
Findings
Switching is possible below threshold current and field levels.
Controllable time delay in switching is achievable.
Numerical simulation validates the switching mechanism.
Abstract
The results are presented of a numerical simulation of the switching magnetic junction by a spin-polarized current pulse under applied magnetic field with the current density and field below the threshold values. A possibility is shown of the switching with controllable time delay relative to the current pulse.
