A SUSY SU(6) GUT model with Pseudo-Goldstone Higgs Doublets
A.E. C\'arcamo Hern\'andez, Rakibur Rahman

TL;DR
This paper proposes a new supersymmetric SU(6) GUT model that employs a pseudo-Goldstone Higgs mechanism to achieve doublet-triplet splitting, while also naturally explaining fermion masses and mixings.
Contribution
It introduces a novel perturbative realization of the pseudo-Goldstone Higgs mechanism within a SUSY SU(6) GUT framework, incorporating extra dimensions and branes.
Findings
Successful realization of the pseudo-Goldstone Higgs mechanism at all orders.
A natural pattern for Standard Model fermion masses and mixings.
Consistency with unbroken supersymmetry in a higher-dimensional setup.
Abstract
We present a novel way of realizing the pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone boson mechanism at all orders in perturbation theory, for the doublet-triplet splitting in supersymmetric grand unified theories. The global symmetries of the Higgs sector are attributed to a non-vectorlike Higgs content, which is consistent with unbroken supersymmetry in a scenario with flat extra dimensions and branes. We also show how in such a model one can naturally obtain a realistic pattern for the Standard Model fermion masses and mixings.
