TL;DR
This paper investigates the spectrum of tensor perturbations and quasi-normal modes of extremal BTZ black holes within topologically massive gravity, considering various Chern-Simons coupling values.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of quasi-normal modes for extremal BTZ black holes in TMG with arbitrary Chern-Simons coupling, including boundary condition considerations.
Findings
Spectrum contains quasi-normal modes under specified boundary conditions.
Results depend on the Chern-Simons coupling parameter .
Analysis applicable to a range of values in TMG.
Abstract
We study the spectrum of tensor perturbations on extremal BTZ black holes in topologically massive gravity for arbitrary values of the coefficient of the Chern-Simons term, . Imposing proper boundary conditions at the boundary of the space and at the horizon, we find that the spectrum contains quasi-normal modes.
