Buffon Needle Problem Application to Space Exploration
A.V. Sedelnikov

TL;DR
This paper explores applying the classical Buffon needle problem to estimate the probability of engine firing events in space exploration, offering a simpler alternative to complex analysis methods.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of the Buffon needle problem to space engineering, providing a straightforward probabilistic estimation technique.
Findings
Buffon needle problem can model engine firing probability.
Simplifies analysis of orientation engine events.
Provides reliable probability estimates without complex calculations.
Abstract
In this article the possibility of application of classical Buffon needle problem to the investigation of orientation engine firing problem has been investigated. Such an approach makes it possible to get a reliable EP of this undesired event without using a more complicated analysis.
