Speeding up parallel tempering simulations
Martin Hasenbusch, Stefan Schaefer

TL;DR
This paper presents methods to increase step-size in parallel tempering simulations, tested on 3D Heisenberg spin glass models, achieving approximately double the speed of traditional methods.
Contribution
The paper introduces techniques to enhance step-size in parallel tempering, significantly improving simulation efficiency for complex statistical models.
Findings
Speed-up of about two times in simulation speed
Effective methods validated on 3D Heisenberg spin glass
Potential for broader application in statistical physics simulations
Abstract
We discuss methods that allow to increase the step-size in a parallel tempering simulation of statistical models and test them at the example of the three-dimensional Heisenberg spin glass. We find an overall speed-up of about two for contemporary lattices.
