Kheir-Eddine Boudjemaa, Mourad Guenouche, Sami R. Zouzou

TL;DR
This paper calculates the time delay in strong gravitational lensing using the Einstein-Straus solution and compares it to observational data from a specific lens system.
Contribution
It introduces a novel application of the Einstein-Straus solution to compute lensing time delays and compares theoretical predictions with observational bounds.
Findings
Theoretical time delay estimates are consistent with observational bounds.
The Einstein-Straus model provides a viable framework for strong lensing time delay calculations.
Results support the use of the Einstein-Straus solution in gravitational lensing studies.
Abstract
The time delay of strong lensing is computed in the framework of the Einstein-Straus solution. The theory is compared to the observational bound on the time delay of the lens SDSS J1004+4112.
