Pankaj K. Jha, Yuri V. Rostovtsev

TL;DR
This paper derives analytical solutions for a two-level atom driven by chirped pulses, showing that specific chirping parameters can significantly enhance population transfer efficiency.
Contribution
It provides new analytical solutions using Heun functions for a two-level system under chirped pulses, enabling improved control of population transfer.
Findings
Four-orders of magnitude enhancement in population transfer
Analytical solutions expressed in terms of Heun functions
Effective control of two-level systems with chirped pulses
Abstract
We present analytical solutions for the problem of a two-level atom driven by a class of chirped pulses. The solutions are given in terms of Heun functions. Using appropriate chirping parameters an enhancement of four-orders of magnitudes in the population transfer is obtained.
