Victor Gryaznov, Igor Iosilevskiy, Vladimir Formov

TL;DR
This paper computes the shock adiabats of argon and xenon considering ionization, excitation, plasma effects, and radiation losses, providing detailed models for high-pressure shock behavior.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive method for calculating shock adiabats of Ar and Xe including multiple ionization, excitation, and plasma non-ideality effects.
Findings
Computed shock adiabats for Ar and Xe with detailed plasma effects
Estimated energy losses due to radiation in shock processes
Enhanced understanding of high-pressure plasma behavior
Abstract
Results of computations of the shock adiabats (Hugoniots) of Ar and Xe in frames of "chemical picture" taking into account multiple ionization, electron excitation and plasma non-ideality corrections are represented. Energy losses by radiation are estimated.
