TL;DR
This study investigates the magnetic and structural phase transitions in Ce(Fe0.975Ga0.025)2, revealing a coupled magnetostructural transition from antiferromagnetic to ferromagnetic states with phase coexistence.
Contribution
It reports the first detailed analysis of the coupled magnetic and structural transitions in Ce(Fe0.975Ga0.025)2, highlighting phase coexistence during transformations.
Findings
Magnetic transition from AFM to FM with structural change from rhombohedral to cubic.
Presence of phase coexistence during temperature and field-induced transitions.
Coupled magnetostructural transition observed in the compound.
Abstract
The magnetic and magnetostructural properties of the polycrystalline Ce(Fe0.975Ga0.025)2 have been investigated as a function of temperature and magnetic field. In Ce(Fe0.975Ga0.025)2 the magnetic transition from antiferromagnetic (AFM) to ferromagnetic state (FM) is accompanied by a structural transformation from rhombohedral to cubic structure. Phase coexistence is present during both the temperature and field driven transformations from the AFM to FM phase.
