TL;DR
This paper explores five-dimensional gravity models with Gauss-Bonnet and induced gravity terms, demonstrating the existence of BTZ-like black holes on a 2-brane that extend into the bulk with regular horizons.
Contribution
It introduces BTZ-like black hole solutions in a codimension-2 braneworld with higher curvature corrections and induced gravity, extending previous models.
Findings
BTZ-like black holes exist on the 2-brane
Black holes extend into the bulk with regular horizons
Higher curvature terms enable these solutions
Abstract
We consider five-dimensional gravity with a Gauss-Bonnet term in the bulk and an induced gravity term on a 2-brane of codimension-2. We show that this system admits BTZ-like black holes on the 2-brane which are extended into the bulk with regular horizons.
