Minimum Variance Multi-Frequency Distortionless Restriction for Digital Wideband Beamformer
Yipeng Liu, Jia Xu, Qun Wan, Yingning Peng

TL;DR
This paper introduces a digital beamforming method that minimizes signal distortion across multiple frequencies, reducing the need for long delay lines and improving wideband signal processing.
Contribution
The paper proposes the MVMFDR technique, a novel digital amplitude-phase weighting approach that addresses frequency distortion and short delay line requirements in wideband beamforming.
Findings
Reduces frequency band signal distortion
Eliminates the need for long analog delay lines
Enhances digital wideband beamforming performance
Abstract
This paper proposes a digital amplitude-phase weighting array based a minimum variance multi-frequency distortionless restriction (MVMFDR) to aviod the frequency band signal distortion in digital beamformer and too short time delay line (TDL) requirement in analoge wideband TDL array.
