TL;DR
This paper develops a continuum-QRPA method to accurately describe Gamow-Teller strength distributions in nuclei undergoing double beta decay, comparing results with experimental data for several isotopic pairs.
Contribution
It introduces an isospin-selfconsistent pn-continuum-QRPA approach for modeling Gamow-Teller strength in $etaeta$-decaying nuclei, enhancing theoretical accuracy.
Findings
Good agreement with experimental Gamow-Teller distributions
Effective modeling of open-shell nuclei
Provides insights into double beta decay mechanisms
Abstract
An isospin-selfconsistent pn-continuum-QRPA approach is formulated and applied to describe the Gamow-Teller strength distributions for -decaying open-shell nuclei. The calculation results obtained for the pairs of nuclei Ge-Se, Mo-Ru, Cd-Sn, and Te-Xe are compared with available experimental data.
