One-dimensional Chern-Simons theory
Anton Alekseev, Pavel Mnev

TL;DR
This paper introduces a simplified one-dimensional model of Chern-Simons theory, constructing a simplicial version that captures key aspects of low-energy gauge theories and topological quantum field theories.
Contribution
It presents the first simplicial formulation of a one-dimensional Chern-Simons theory, bridging effective gauge theories and topological quantum field theories.
Findings
Constructed a simplicial model of one-dimensional Chern-Simons theory
Demonstrated the model captures features of topological quantum field theories
Provides a foundation for further study of low-dimensional gauge theories
Abstract
We study a one-dimensional toy version of the Chern-Simons theory. We construct its simplicial version which comprises features of a low-energy effective gauge theory and of a topological quantum field theory in the sense of Atiyah.
